Frizinghall Primary School

Our School

One of the main reasons I applied to be the Headteacher at Frizinghall Primary was the warmth and enthusiasm for learning I felt when I first visited. Once I was appointed and got to know the wider school community, everybody made me feel very welcome and it was easy to see why our wonderful, smiley, inquisitive pupils are such a pleasure to teach.

Even though a number of years have now passed since my appointment, I still feel the same as I did when I first visited. I am also tremendously proud of how we have continued to develop our curriculum offer, since we were judged as a good school back in March 2022, and how we work to meet the needs of the pupils and families we serve. If you have a moment, do have a look at our curriculum subject guides because they showcase the rich curriculum we provide.

Towards the end of each half-term, I always write a newsletter. It is a lovely task to complete because it gives me a reason to collate all of the wonderful learning which has taken place and celebrate our school with parents and carers. All of our past newsletters can be found on this website so do take a look and find out more about what has been happening in school.

Finally, our BlueSky account is another fantastic source to learn more about Frizinghall Primary.  As well as posting photographs about what has been happening in school, we also use BlueSky to provide parents with regular internet safety tips (through our Wake Up Wednesday posts) and information about events and services available in the local community.

For any prospective parents who are accessing our website to find out more about school, we do host open events which are communicated in the local community; however, we are always happy to arrange tours of the school, for prospective new parents, at any time. If you would like to do this, please contact our school office.
